Reading
murder mysteries, working with academics, sharing
triumphs and tragedies with other dog fanciers,
rubbing elbows with horse breeders and trainers,
living with golden retrievers, and caring for loved
ones with Alzheimer's disease have inspired Judith
Freeland to people her novels with professors, janitors,
dogs and horses and those who raise and train them,
and the residents of retirement homes and the people
who care for them.
Judith,
a retired university administrator and English professor,
lives in Loveland, Colorado, with Echo, the other
half of her therapy dog team.
Her
first published non-academic book, Try to Remember,
is a memoir of her father's life.
She
has a number of murder mysteries waiting for publication,
and is currently working on a fantasy novel, She
Really is a Bitch, about a shape-shifting golden
retriever.
